About Us
The Mission
Our mission at Chow Down Phoenix is to take you inside the valley’s restaurants with quality photos and commentary that will help you decide if the food is worth your hard-earned money.
The Team
Jason is the owner of Chow Down Phoenix. He is originally from Orange County, CA. He moved to Gilbert in 2002 with his wife Susan and dog Romey. Jason enjoys discovering the culinary treasures all around the valley, and sharing his experiences with the world.

Romey is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi who was born in Prescott Valley in 2002. He now lives in Gilbert with his parents, Jason and Susan. He is a great source of inspiration and moral support. He helps Jason loosen up when he gets writer’s block.

Yes, ladies, Romey is single and looking!

Arman is a guest blogger. He is a native Arizonan–quite the rarity. He lives in Mesa with his wife, daughter, and their new pup. Arman is a photography enthusiast, and a “herper.” Herpers are basically mentally ill folks that like to pick up rattlesnakes and stuff.
Susan (Jason’s wife) is a guest blogger for Chow Down Phoenix. She is a native of Peru, so her food tastes are a little different than Jason or Arman. She brings a little different slant to the site. You will probably see her specializing in seafood reviews, as she is a huge seafood lover!
